animals arent loving its just survival instincs... all animals do is eat ,sleep,mate,and defend them selfs where does LOVE
come from ? its the part and parcial of god in each of us

Love is the co beingness of two beeings. Afinity is the closest destance between to points.
In the physical universe two objects can not occupy the same space and time.
Now that everything is defined we can go forward. People believe they are in love when actually they are not. they have an afinity for something (meaning they are very close to them or it) The more afinity you have for someone or something the closer you are to loving that thing or them. In the physical universe two things can not occupy the same space and time. But beeingness can. This is where true love comes in. This is why you get things like Love conquers all, and Love makes you fly and things like that. It defies the laws of the universe. If you have never seen two people work like hand and glove then I suggest you look around it happens all the time. This is not to say once two people become co beeingnesses they are stuck there for ever but when they are they are in love. Love is not an absalute but there is now scale for it. Afinity is a scale and absalute afinity is unataineble. Just becaues you move in with somebody and stay there does not mean you are in love but you have uped your afinity.
To answer your question love comes from two people co beeing. God made it possible. But god does not have to come down and putt a hand in for love to happen. The bottum line is you have to make it happen. and you have to find somebody to make it happen with. Objects and Ideas and organizations are easy to fall in love with because you simple just have to be that object, Idea or organization.

Naaaahhh, it's evolved societal reciprocity and means to guarantee the furthering of our selfish genes.
And pheremones, and hormones.
But at any rate, it is lovely and wonderful and joyful and who really cares about the why when you can just enjoy it?
