My husband works A LOT, so I thought for Christmas I would try to make our bathroom more spa like. I mean with candles on the wall, one of them bath Jacuzzis, some new shower curtains, a small table top fountain, and a plaint. And yes the best part is that I would be able to use it too.

But my question is do men appreciate these kind of things??
Would you like it if your wife did something like this for you??
Women would you do this for your husband??

What do men who clam they already have everything they want, want for Christmas??

I meant a Jacuzzis bath mat, not a real Jacuzzis. I'm not trying to give my husband a heart attack from the bill!!

You're right, the best part is that you'd be able to use it.

This is the bathroom you want, not the bathroom he wants. You know what men would like in a bathroom?

1 - a urinal. I've actually met someone who got one at home.

2- a shower stall with multiple heads, and someone to help them get clean. Experienced that at a bed and breakfast once. Nobody gets cold!

3- a glass shower stall and a wife who likes to take a lot of showers.

When I tell my wife I have everything I want, it normally means some combination of the following three:
1) I can't think of anything offhand
2) Anything reasonably priced I want, I bought myself allready
3) I don't want things, I want nasty sex.

I dunno. I'm pretty sure most guys would prefer a nintendo wii to a water feature in their bathroom, even if the sound helps you when you need to wiii.

step 1. buy him a subscription to men's health.
step 2. put the magazine in your bathroom when it arrives at your house.
step 3. your husband will feel as though the bathroom has been redecorated.

fountains in the bathroom make me feel like i have to pee. the number 1 item that burns down most American homes is candles. new shower curtains make the bathroom smell funny for weeks. plants don't get enough light in most bathrooms. most guys take showers and not baths so the Jacuzzi thing is a bomb.

He probably would just think of it as a cool way to get laid, and not much more than that. If that's your goal, then a better suggestion would be to find a hotel with a Jacuzzi in the room, get some room service with champagne, maybe some adult toys/movies (Whipped creme and chocolate is cool too), a sexy nighty, and spend the night. Obviously he'd like that alot.

If that's not your goal and just want to make a calm, relaxing atmosphere, then it's HDTV. That's what guys really want. It doesn't have to be huge. Maybe a smaller one for the bedroom with a DVD player. Then you came watch some movies with a little spice in HD.

Some men do and some men don't. Every guy is different. If you contrive it as "this is for him" when its really for you, he is going to see through that in 0.25 seconds and feel crappier for it. Make sure its for him.

Sometimes men have what they want, and adding anything on top of that can take away their peace and comfort at Christmas. You need to be sure that your eager-beaver attitude isn't a downer for him.

Again, talk to him. Understand him. Use the five love languages to see if his languages are physical touch? Does he absolutely love massages and ask for them nightly? Does he take baths at all instead of shower? If so does he take them frequently and long enough to justify something like that?

If he is more watching the game, or tossing the ball, or like many men his love language is service then he is going to totally not hear what you are trying to say through this gift.

The best gift you can give him for Christmas isnt lavish, its appropriate. If it fits him like a glove it can cost $1 at a corner drugstore and he will cherish it. If it cost $20,000 out of your pocket not his, and its not really him.. he is going to feel imposed upon. Figure the guy out before you give him a huge gift.

The five love languages, very simple book, costs $5 at the bookstore. Can really improve the relationship and spice things up. Check it out at a library even.

If you can afford to do this...that would be quite nice to come home to. Don't care so much for curtains or candles, but a bath Jacuzzi would be nice. I say go for it. But you should know your man. Some guys aren't into that, though I don't see why not.

Eh, my boyfriend would hate it, but that's him. If he enjoys relaxing in that environment, if he would actually take a bath, if he would appreciate your work, then go for it. I would ask him about it though, just in case.
My boyfriend is one of those guys who already has everything he wants (he's not big on "stuff"). I got him a dvd and cd from his favorite comedian, a book about the physics of superheros (yeah, he's a dork, but I like that), a sketch book, since he's an artist, a car charger for his cell phone, and some honey roasted peanuts cause he like them so much.
Just think of little things he likes but probably wouldn't buy himself. Hope this helped, and Merry Christmas!

A wife should know her husband better than anyone else... shame on you for not being tuned in. The first thing a man wants is a wife that is attentive to the things he says.... and then women wonder why men are insensitive.

Personally - it wouldn't do a thing for me. My first thought would be, I guess I'm going to have to clean up all the melted wax that collects on the walls, shelves, and floor. Then, who's going to feed the plant? Then, I'm really going to get tired of this foofy shower curtain.

Hey, I'm a guy. What can I say?

I sure as freaking heck would! Honestly I think men who wouldn't are to busy being macho! LOL. Water jet massage, warm room, candle light and my wife there with me? Sign me up! I also agree with someone else who said "Talk with him before doing it". That can be exspendy and it might stress him out more than relax him. I think that's the opposite of what you want. ;)

Guys have a very close relationship with their bathroom. Rather than spa it up really impress him, put in a magazine rack with Playboy and Sports Weekly, a phone, a beer cooler and flat screen TV with cable....... No, No -don't do that he might never come back out. . . . . . . .
