ah be careful here. serious historians do NOT support the pretext that the treaty of versailles and the reperations applied to germany thereby led to hitlers rise nd teh start of teh second world war.
some issues to consider tho are the general economic state of the world at the time, and the possible reprecussions the financial elements had on germanys economy. germany suffered probably more then any natio9n in the world during the early 20s

Unfortunately, I am pessimistic in regards to this question. People just don't understand that money doesn't grow on trees. Even though the Government has all those nice printing presses, special paper, and inks, they can't just print money and give it away, the value has to come from somewhere. At some point, those 1 to 5% richest are going to decide they are better off in Australia, Japan, or elsewhere. I see Hillary as the last big flush. If she is elected President, this country will be on a path inexorably down the toilet

actually i do agree that versalies treaty did cause the rise of german nationalism which would lead to world war 2. germany prior to ww1 used the jews as a scape goat for what went wrong. the rampant inflation caused by war reparation caused the county serious economic problems. the military was violating the treaty as early as 1920 with the production of track vehicles to create a mobile army. Germany was not invaded during ww1 the people just got tired from the lack of food stuffs so they technically were not defeated. communism appeared shortly as an attempt to feed the people.
