At the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a dispute over land and borders.
It started in 1948 when Israel was created,by a UN resolution,in Palestine, which at that time was under a British mandate. The Arab countries around didn't accept the decision and the next day they attacked the new created state.Israel won this war.In 1967 Israel attacked Syria,Egypt and Jordan in a pre-emptive war. They occupied and annexed to Israel Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank of the Jordan River (including East Jerusalem), and the Golan Heights.Millions of Palestinians ended up living in UN's refugees camp in Lebanon
There are 3 UN resolution that ask Israel to end the occupation on the Palestinians territories and the other territories that they occupied in 1967 ,but the Israelis refuse to do it...
Since then Palestinians are living under Israeli occupation and they are refused even the elementary rights any human should have... And there are millions of Palestinians living in UN's refugees camps...Israel refuses to let those people come back to their lands...

Here's my view on it. You'll have to use your imagination a bit.

Imagine you live in New Jersey. The federal government decided to change the name of the state to New Mars and allow any Martian to come and settle. They seriously outnumber the Jersey people and start killing them when you guys protest.

Then, you're confined to a couple of crappy, less favorable areas like Newark while the Martians live along the shore and in the nice neighborhoods.

They claim that it was theirs before it was yours, even though it officially belonged to neither. Now, after years of fighting, you both want peace but you hate each other's guts. Some of your people are so desperate that they go and bomb and kill Martians. The Martian military is a bunch of young kids with really nice M16A2 rifles. They are much richer than you and tend to be very annoying and have large egos. They think that every Jersey guy is a dirty terrorist.

See the analogy?? Get the picture???

Arabs (Muslims) hate the Jews.... When Israel was first formed all the Arab nations banded together to throw the Jews out of the land. (Arabs hate Jews) They told the Muslim people living in the aera (what are now called the Pallestinens) to get out as they were going on a holy war (Arabs hate the Jews) and would kill everything and everyone in their way. Well.... the Jews kicked Arab Butt... the Muslim Arabs that were told to leave now had not home... nobody would give land to the refugees.... (Arabs hate other Arabs also) The wound has been festering for 60 years now.

It began in the bible as the two sons of moses, i think,,,,,two sons one sent away bla bla....but my own personal opinion is the jewish idea of being special or gods chosen people...upsets others especially if they are volatile.....next the rejection of Jews in most cultures lead to them creating a state, which in high school we learned they bought it piece by piece from the muslim owners untill they owned the majority of israel, but in college the text said they came in and slaughtered the muslims and took the land by force with the Americans help, as a way to have a base in central muslim territory, keeping them at bay from any possible future religious wars.....anyway, they have been fighting ever since.

I believe it is because that after world war 2 allied forces gave a bunch of that land to the Jews, but the problem was that people were already living there.
