Why do you feel you have to 'do' something? And why does your friend feel she has to 'do' something? Unless you feel that being gay is somehow bothersome to you. Being 'gay' or 'homosexual' used to be considered an abnormal psychological condition. But this has changed in current society. In many cultures, being gay is absolutely normal. In many others it is not. Why don't you ask yourself if you're creationist or an evolutionist. If you're an evolutionist then being gay is some anomaly in the process of human evolution and what you 'do' is totally irrelevant. Of course being gay disqualifies you from reproducing your own kind (if you marry your own sex) unless you have a lot of political help. If your a creationist then (I'm assuming here) you might believe in God to have set up some rules regarding sexual behavior. If that is the case then being gay is maybe not what you consider right behavior. Well according to God, nobody on the face of the earth exhibits right behavior so I would say that you should get over yourself and treat this person like you should treat any one, with compassion and kindness.

She should wait for her crush to wear off. Feelings don't turn off right away. In time (assuming that she is a heterosexual) she will see that there is not enough common ground between her and this gay person. Gay persons will always be attracted to their own gender so there will be no future for your friend with this person. Also, try introducing her to other "straight" people. She might fall in love with someone else.

What is poof gay? Do you mean homosexual? If the friend does not know, tell her. If she does know and still asks you tell her to stop wasting her time and setting herself up for emotional let down.

Let her find out on her own. Some people have to fall on their own faces before they believe that the ground is really hard.

You never know...she might turn him straight!

if he's gay, and effeminate at that, then there is not much that she can do. it's what he is, and she won't change him. she needs to talk to him if she wants. he'll tell her straight (no pun intended) out.
