Hey, it depends upon the living organism. Let's consider a virus to be living, then it required only a molecule of DNA/RNA. Now consider a person. You know what s/he requires-oxygen, water, food, amino acids et cetra.
Basically if you are to consider the basic building blocks of life, they are ammonia, water, sugars and energy
