Do you mean the French and Indian War Fought in North America. Or the Seven Years War that was what the whole thing was called.

The French and Indian War was caused by the British wanting what was then called the northwest territory so they sent a detachment of Virgina Militia ts capture the trading post at Ft Dusquene now Pittsburgh. The Militia had to retreat and was captured by the French and war broke out.

There is a book out on the war one called The War That Made America was also a PBS show last year.
