i honestly dont think it makes much of a difference ... in my opinion keeping it turned off keeps the dust out for longer and ur monitor will last longer and you'll use less electric ...

YES ! of cause.Even that your computer design for 24 hour a day power on it still better to shutting down your machine for rest
and save your money for electrical use.

Actually...your question is not simple. Some people say it actually wears the computer down more if you're always turning it on or off. If you just hibernate it, it 'll probably last longer.
