I click a link and bam- I am hanging, hanging...redirecting to some salesly web page! I installed IE7 and it is still happening. I have run every cleaner I can think of and cleared cache, temp. internet, etc. My system restore only let me go back 1 day which did not help. WHAT CAN I DO?

The AVG worked well but I STILL HAVE THE PROBLEM- that's not true about system restore- it has saved me more than once! Thanks for trying- does anyone have any more suggestions- this is driving me nuts.

First thing, turn off system restore. Even if you o run anti virus, anti spyware, whatever you remove is always sitting in that folder waiting to go right back.
Besides, system restore doesnt actually work and in the end corrupts your registry to the point of not being able to even boot your machine.
