An African country has as good of a chance as there has ever been in the next world cup in South Africa. The African teams have always done well in the youth levels. Ghana and Nigeria have always performed well in the Youth World Cup. The problem is that they don't have the infrastructure to get their youth past that level. Now that some African players are going to Europe to play, they will get a lot of experience.
Look for an African team to do really well next World Cup--maybe even win it...

Sure it will happen one day. So far Japan and South Korea are impressing and the fact that Australia joined AFC so their chance to qualify for WC is bigger.
Don't forget nowdays African football not dominated by Nigeria and South Africa anymore. More and more country qualify for the WC and that's good really good. Last WC is a good example!

Yes...either Japan or Australia I believe has a lot of potential. And possibly Nigeria...but who knows really. I'd like to see it happen in 2014 WC for an underdog to win a title, regardless of what nation they are. That would be so fun to watch.

I doubt it will happen in 40 years time. But if it happen it will be Mexico. They are getting stronger and stronger. Africa is only a promise. Asians simply don't know how to play football, it's genetic.
