Starting in Viginia, then down to Miami Florida, then to San Fransisco, then Seattle, then Chicago, then New York, and finally Virginia again. And in between each of these cities we are going to make 20 other stops. Do you think its a good idea, or are we gona get stuck halfway across the nation?Do you have an advice? thanks for any answers

Sure WTF why not ? when I was 18 I hitch-hiked w/ this great Scorpio woman from Boston to SFO in 69 hours and that was in 1971
If you're going to do it right, go straight to Key West and then work your way up the west coast of Florida heading for New Orleans .
One of the great things about America is if you need to cover a lot of real estate in a hurry you can do it. Once you get west of the Mississippi you can easily do 1000 mile days in like 16 hours.
What your time table will ultimately create is an algebra problem from hell.
You guys are going to wind up putting around 12000 miles on your vehicle or 500 miles a day.In practice if you drive 1000 miles in a day to a destination it means that you can take a day to enjoy it and still be on the 500 mpd schedule. You get the idea
As far as vehicle of choice: A Dodge mini-van gives everyone enough room to sprawl out in.
and parts are easy to get and it doesn't draw attention to you- all desirable characteristics in a vehicle.
have fun
be careful

well both of these seem to be red flags. they might just be phases, but the thing is... maybe you need someone more mature? or give her some time to grow up. from 18-25 is a big time and you learn SO MUCH about the world and the greater picture. it's hard when you're wrapping up this learning stage and she's just beginning. usually age doesnt matter but i think that SO MANY people get into these relationships at this age, and it always crashes and burns. my boyfriend is older than me and the only way it works is because i act far more mature than many of my friends and i've been through hard times and already learned life lessons. but if you're prepared to go down this weird road and it's going to make you happy without hurting you too badly, go for it.

You show you are 18 and then 16, which is it?? If you are 18, then go for it. 25 days is not very long to see much, you would be glimpsing things from the car windows. Anyway have fun and stay safe.

I think it is unrealistic to go coast to coast in 25 days. Especially if you want to stop somewhere new everyday. If you can make the trip longer then great. If not, then cut down and choose just a few cities to visit.

The age given makes a difference without an adult consent and supervision. Consult with your parents before contemplating such a joy ride. Otherwise this is not a good ideal.

First off yes its possible. Work and save up your money between now n then. You WILL need plenty of money for gas and repairs. Pick a comfortable economical vehicle like a mni van or even an older but well cared for customized van. Have a knowledgeable mechanic give the vehicle a thorough goin' over and fix everything!!! Thats cheaper and much less stressful at home. Pack lite but adequately depending on time of year I'd have jeans and shorts comfortable other clothes a layerable jacket a blanket or two and pillow each. Bring and maintain food and water and other non alcoholic beverages. If your gonna drink get a room or campsite and stay put till you ALL are sober.
Each of you carry a cellphone and keep contact with family for your safety and their piece of mind. Take lots of pics share them online and last but not least be safe out there. Ive driven over the road in all 48 states and Canada for 21years theres a LOT to see and I havent scratched the surface.
