It really depends on the crime that you comitted. Sometimes the conditions of your bail states that you can't travel and your travel documents may be ceased but as I said it really depends on the crime.

Local laws are different the world over. I'm afraid it is true. Along with the fact that if they get in trouble out of the country & sent home they can not leave again also. They take breaking the law very very serious.

No it is not true,If you are migrating, the
country which you are migrating to may ask for you police record, they may refuse you entering their country, if you are a criminal, but if you are going on a visit you dont need a police record.

you can but it will be harder if you have served time or something the authorities dont want persons in their country who has a criminal record.if they are investigating you for something you cannot leave the country except with false documents.
