We want the attire be generally of guys wearing dress shirts and ladies wearing cocktail dresses. One idea I've heard of is Casino Royale Bond 007 and that's along the lines of what we want, but not quite the James Bond part. Any help?

Personally, I say Pimp 'N Ho party...but since you are looking for something a lil more classy, why not go with a Cinderella theme or something...maybe you can somehow incorporate the elegant element of a gala/ball dance and then at midnight have it all change to a more party like atmosphere..."post-pumpkin" kinda thing. Just a thought...

Isn't it sad that nowadays you have to have a "theme" for a party just to encourage folks to dress up? I like the movie star premere idea, or just call a color like someone else said. I saw somewhere that Diddy (good grief) gave a party where everyone had to where all white to get in! Also, if you say black tie, almost no one will show up in a tux anyway, but it will signal to everyone that they should look their best.

You could have a black and white theme, or you could have an old Hollywood stars night (around 1930s).
