Humanism becomes popular when the classics of antiquity are rediscovered in europe. the father of humanism is Petrach who appeals to emotion not just logic. He and others believe that people have the power to interpurt literature on their own and come to their own conclusions. The Dignity of Man is written the classic piece of Humanist literature. Petrach develops Ciceronian Eloquence named after Marcus Cicero the famous Roman orater. It becomes the cool thing to do and people all over take it up. It quicky becomes the only means of persuasion. Pretty soon the Nobeles see a Humanist education as what you need to rule and be fit for court. Humanism leads to Baroque architecture that is based on emotion as opposed to logic, and the protestent reformation.
