why is it that the government gets first dibbs on the working persons pay?

how in the hell am i going to bust my *** 40+ hours a week and my check gets chopped and screwed before i even see it ?
seeing as how i worked for the pay shouldnt i be able to give what i think i is far for taxes ?

I wish we could decide what is fair.I don,t mind paying for roads school defense .What I don't like is the gov will give my hard earned money to people who have lived on welfare for generations.I don't mind helping anyone who is unable to work.If a person is able to work and chooses not why do I support them.If they have children I think their kids should be taken away where they could learn to work for a living.The lazy adults I don't care if they starve to death.Anyone on welfare today the hard working people of this country are sick of supporting your sorry asses.Treat your self like Bob Barker says have yourselves spayed or neutered.This country can not afford to keep you lazy useless people up any longer.

Damn good question!! Sadly, the reason we all get taxed is because of government clause called "War-time Tax"

This is because of various reasons.
I The government is the most powerful organisation in the country. Therefore it claims and gets first pick.
II The government provides for and organises the complex and confortable society we live in. It not only builds things we all use but also takes care of those who cannot take care of ourselves. This is the way society is organised. It is far far preferable to what we had before we had civilized society. Each looking after our own and many falling by the wayside. Then when we developed civilized society we came out of the caves and into comfort surroundings. After all who wants to go back and live in the caves and walk into wild animals
III The government, especially in the western democracies has at least the tacit support of most of the people, for almost the first time in history.

Ahhhh, welcome to the working world. It sucks, doesn't it? Because the government likes to suck out the money from the poor and middle class, while giving super rich people tax BREAKS! Try to get a job working under the table, if at all possible. Or, if you make above poverty line wages, keep track of your gas mileage, any work related expenses (if any) and write them off your taxes.

The more you make, the more they take, up to a point. For awhile, I was working 60 hours a week, at 2 jobs, and I figured i was making LESS money for more work!

Because they know that most workers would go piss it on booze or gambling and they would never get their $$.
Although, some of us have figured out how to make them wait until April 15th . . . but that only works if your $$ brain is working (which is non functional in addicts and gamblers and some shoppers)
