I have been having pains in my chest on my left side for a few years now. It dosn't hurt all the time but when it does the pain is always in the same area. It feels like it's on top of my chest not like an inside pain. It hurts really bad when I sneeze so I think it might be the muscle or somthing. There was a point when I was working out, lifting weights and eating right religously and the pains went away during that time but came back when I stopped. Any ideas what it could be?

no worries, im also 24 and muslim and had something similar because i stressed alot recently. anyways the pain being on and off is an excellent sign that its not artery disease or inflammation. and dont worry, did you know that average age of coronary heart disease is 55. ofcouse if it keeps happening than have it checked out by a cardiologist. buy your way to young to having anything serious, average heart attack age is 65 and at your age its only some minor stress related pain. are you sleeping in a awkward way?

Muscle Spasm. I had one in 1998, 2002, 2005 and two in 2006. Always in the same spot with varying degrees of intensity. The first three knocked me flat on my back.

Cat scan revealed nothing. Stress test said "not my heart". Always happened when I was overtired.

Are you drinking water? This is an important step to all kinds of health benefits. Mine started in my late thirties.

I think you answered your own question. When you were working out and eating right, you were ok. So, I suggest give yourself a couple weeks right after, no right away and start feeling good again. Good luck!! OHhh, get to a Dr. soon also.

I would go to the doctor and have that checked out. If you don't have insurance, you could go to your local clinic. It really should be diagnosed by a doctor.
