Ok I was watching this movie last night and I started to get confused. Why was Selene and Michael trying to kill Marcus? I thought they wanted his help with somethig.

Marcus wants to be the only creature thats both lichen and vampire so he wants Michael dead. kind of like the alpa male thing with dogs.

Both of the other answers are correct. Selene and Michael were out to stop Marcus from freeing his Liken brother William and Marcus needed to "read" Selene to find out the location where the vampires hid William by drinking her blood. I'd try to kill someone to if they tried to drink my blood!

no i saw both movies there sort of cool mostly i like selene she is so hot.ok they dont need his help Marcus`s and Willaims dad said to selene she has to kill them.but selene does kill marcus .i saw the first movie then i saw different clips of the secound one.so they dont need his help they gots there dads help he gave selene his blood because he was like almost killed by marcus also marcus wants micheal or selene she has something a necklace or something.

marcus wants to let william (his brother, also a lyken) free and that cannot be allowed because marcus thinks he can control william but cant and william will continue to kill again and then the whole world would be drowning in lykens. i think thats right, but its been a while since i last watched it. it is a good movie though.

They wanted to kill Markus because he wanted them dead cuz at the end of UW1 the licons blood awoke him
