Its possible he is having a allergic reaction to the sap on the tree branches. You can put some hydrocordisone lotion on it and that should clear it up. It may just be from the skin rubbing against the branches.

Call the baby's doctor to find at what to do. Don't guess. Especially when it comes to baby's. Stop using the baby lotion. If it hasn't helped so far then it probably won't. You will probably have to get a prescription if it gets worse or won't go away. Good luck. This would be a good story to tell the babys friends and girlfriend when he gets older. Hey did you know I had a Christmas tree fall on my head. lol

I'm assuming you are not talking about the tree falling completely on this child or you wouldn't be stopping to ask us? I'm praying I'm right....anyway....
Don't use lotion -- most baby lotions, in their zealousness to have everything smell like baby, put perfumes in it that will irritate anything that's already, well, irritated. If you are sure he's not hurt, and the tree trunk did not hit him anywhere, and he's playing and seems fine, then I would get some benadryl cream and use that. but first check with the chemist to make sure it's o.k. for the age of the child in question.

OK, a tree falls on an infant and you stop to ask Yahoo what you should do? Call the doctor. Just because you can't see it, you don't know if the baby has internal injuries. Come on...use some common sense. Rash equals something wrong. Tree falling on infant equals something wrong. Responsible adult caring for someone elses child calling the dr. equals smart thing to do.

i dont know if someone can be allergic to spruce, but if the branches rubbed across his forehead its probably just irritation. even if the child didnt cry, he should still have someone watching him closely. if he seems different in any way, like spaced out, or extra cranky, or anything out of the ordinary, then he should really be taken to the hospital. but thats only if it was just the branches that fell on him. if it was the trunk that fell on him then he should probably be checked out either way just to be sure, you cant really take chances with babies. they are pretty sensitive.

pine needles are irritating. Its not an allergic reaction, they poke little holes in the skin.
Havent you ever handled a punch of pine needles before? Theyre sharp, especially on soft sensitive baby skin, and especially at high speeds, such as when a tree is falling on you.
Get him checked out either way.

Yes they can. Dont put baby lotion it might irritate it more. I would call the kids pediatrician to find out what you can try to get rid of the rash.

It like grass. Sometimes when we young these things may irritate the skin, it may turn red/rash or itch, or both. Usually it clear in 2-3 days and, it may have scratched him a little, which may take longer.
