There are a many explanations to Dejavu. It is a feeling that comes to one when least expected for a second or two, a feeling that you have been in this place/location or environment and even when meeting with total strangers you can get a feeling that you think you have seen them and spoken exactly the same words before. One explanation is that this is the reminder of your past life which was a life of souls not like the one on earth and only happened once before you came to earth, that you have already preplanned your life to some extent and with the exception that you still have the control of changing it, for example if you have done a great sin in the previous life you have the control of making sure it does not reoccur. Do not get this idea mixed up with reincarnation, this life is the true test and final one

I feel like I've answered this question before.
Deja' vu is the feeling people get sometimes that they have done something before but can't quite grasp where or when. They may feel that they have been to a place before but know that they have not.
I read a study that said that it is a trick of the brain. Short term memory actually kicks in under the long term memory storage area. It is as if the memory is coming back to you while it is actually happening.
People have attributed Deja' vu to being psychic, of having ESP, of being a witch, etc. etc. I don't believe all that, it is just opinions.

The term "déjà vu" (French for "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was coined by a French psychic researcher, Ãmile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques (The Future of Psychic Sciences), which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate French concentrator at the University of Chicago. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eerieness", "strangeness", or "weirdness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past. Déjà vu has been described as "Remembering the future".
The experience of déjà vu seems to be very common; in formal studies 70% or more of the population report having experienced it at least once. References to the experience of déjà vu are also found in literature of the past, indicating it is not a new phenomenon. It has been extremely difficult to invoke the déjà vu experience in laboratory settings, therefore making it a subject of few empirical studies, recently researchers have found ways to recreate this sensation using hypnosis.

The phrase "deja vu" is French for "already seen" and is used to refer to when a person experiences the feeling that they have seen, experienced, or been someplace before even when they are sure that that is not really true. ex. a person who arrives at a new city they have never before visited may experience deja vu on a street, experience the intense feeling that they have been on that street at some point in the past.

Deja Vu is either the movie, the song, or its the feeling that you have already been in that moment before. Like, you dream about it and then it happens, or you feel a certain familiarity about the moment.
