I've recently been having light-headedness, nausea, heartburn (which I had with my first two pregnancies), dizziness, extreme fatigue...I took an HPT the other night but it was negative. What are the odds that it's just not showing up, but I am pregnant anyway? One of my friends never got a + HPT in the 1st trimester with any of her 3 pregnancies...what are the chances? How long do I wait before getting a blood test (since I have no idea where I am in my cycle, IF I'm even having a cycle)?

To be sure a negative pregnancy test is a True Negative, you need to wait between 1 to 2 weeks after the last intercourse before testing. The fertilized egg takes approximately one week to travel down the fallopian tube before implanting in the uterine lining and producing chorionic gonadotropin which is what you are testing for in the pregnancy test. Now, the urine test only tests for the alpha chain of the hormone which is the same for several other hormones including luteinizing hormone, which is why a urine pregnancy test can pick up the LH surge that produces ovulation. The blood test checks for the beta chain of the pregnancy hormone which is specific for that particular hormone, and so is more specific than the urine test. Both tests are fairly sensitive and should be able to pick up an early pregnancy. I would suggest that the side effects of the progesterone only minipill may be causing your symptoms. The premenstrual syndrome symptoms and early pregnancy side effect symptoms are similiar because they are both due to the same thing, progesterone. Keep in mind that using 2 barrier methods (ie. condoms and contraceptive foam or spermicide suach as Vagifilm) are as good as hormonal contraception- 99%.

I suppose that at eleven months historic one million or two oz. of entire milk is high-quality so long as it's combined together with your breastmilk. Most pediatricians suggest establishing entire milk at year, and with just one month left to head I dont suppose it must be an predicament. And you're proper, so long as you don't have a prime chance being pregnant, breastfeeding for the duration of your entire being pregnant is flawlessly high-quality. I individually suppose you have got to uncover a brand new pediatrician. Why could any health practitioner suggest to give up breastfeeding your little one until there was once critical scientific disorders? Good for you for carrying on with to breastfeed, and congrats to your new child!

Some women don't get their period while they are breastfeeding. Some women also get pregnant while breastfeeding. Have you been having unprotected sex? A blood test will show a positive at 5 days after conception. Good luck with everything.

I became pregnant when i was full time breastfeeding my 5 month old. I would just wait a week and try another test. Once you have one baby its so much easier getting pregnant again
