It's that wonderful time of year again.

And yet, for some reason, it always seems underwhelming... almost as though little else is different. I want to experience it differently this year.

How can I get myself into the whole mood and excitement for the holidays?

Thanks for any suggestions!

Well, you could watch A Charlie Brown Christmas. Or you could go shopping for a few toys to donate someplace. While you're getting the toys, maybe pick up some food for the local food bank.

take the tasks that need to be done and prioritize them. don't demand that they all be completed at once. work on the tasks gradually. cross the task off on a piece of paper to show the success you're making. after each task is complete, take inventory of what still has to be done. SOMETIMES you'll decide that SOME tasks don't need to be done. this is called being nice to yoursellf.
take the season slowly. pass through the season with peace and contentment being your greatest goal. don't rush or push yourself. that's where feelings of being overwhelmed develop.
merry christmas to you!
