I have a Sony Ericsson z520a. Sometimes while in my pocket in the closed position, it will automatically take pictures. Not only does this waste memory, but it makes a loud shutter sound, which has proven to be embarrassing at times. How can I make it stop?

I have this phone too, and it does the same thing. They're is a button on the outside of the phone that if you barley hit it it will take a picture. and the sad part is there is no way to lock it or anything. I've been in a bathroom and it's gone off while in my pocket...embarrassing.

There is a membrane switch under the camera button and the only sure fire way I know of making it stop is to modify the button itself. This requires you to take apart the phone and trim down the "nib" on the underside of the button. This makes it much more difficult for the button to activate the switch. You will need a T-6 Torx for the screws on the phone. I have done this mod for both my phone as well as my wife's phone. If you're not mechanically inclined I wouldn't recommend you do this though.

ps .. I got this info from another site but I can't find the url at the moment.

there's a membrane change below the digicam button and the only confident fire way i understand of coming up it end is to change the button itself. This calls so you might take aside the telephone and trim down the "nib" on the backside of the button. This makes it plenty extra difficult for the button to turn on the change. you will desire a T-6 Torx for the screws on the telephone. I even have finished this mod for the two my telephone as properly as my spouse's telephone. in case you at the instant are not immediately vulnerable i would not advise you are trying this even with the undeniable fact that. playstation .. I have been given this information from yet another internet site yet i won't be able to discover the url on the 2d.

Maybe you're brushing against the buttons or something. You should try locking the phone when you're not using it.
