You are better off in Alaska. Provided you have a steady job. Spokane is nothing special, I have been there several times. Taxes are way higher considering Alaska doesn't really have a state tax. I have no idea about job openings in Spokane. You can check on line with Washington State Job Service. I wouldn't move there without a job offer first. Then find a place to live before you move. Their is nothing worse than moving to some place & can't find a job or a place to live after you get there.
