It's Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
And it means that...ok...Let's explain it like this...
You and your friend have different tastes in women. You might like blonds, but hate red heads. Your friend on the other hand LOVES red heads.
So if a red head came walking down the hall toward you, you might think she was just ok looking, while your friend thinks she's the hottest thing alive.
Beauty is only Beauty to the right people...others will think it's ugly. Whoever is 'beholding' or looking at whatever the object is, judges if it's beautiful or not.

Everyone views beauty in different ways. For some it is based upon physical attributes (that do fade with time, by the way), some look at a person's heart to see the deeds they have done and how they treat people, still some do a combination of the two. Materialistic people view beautiful by the amount in one's bank account. It is all in what you like.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder means that everyone sees something different in everything. One person may think a cockroach is disgusting and another person may see the beauty in the design of the cockroach.

"Beauty Is In The Eye Of The Beholder" means personal preferences. What looks good to you may not look good to the next person. It does not mean that someone's preferences are better then the other person's preferences.

The obvious meaning is that everyone has different ideas of what physical features makes someone beautiful. A deeper meaning is that the narrower ones ideas of what physical beauty is is a reflection of how narrow minded they are and the broader ones ideas of physical beauty, the more open minded they are.

it means that experiences and appreciations are subjective. that when we interpret something, we do so with our minds, that what we really appreciate the beauty in is from the reaction it produced in our minds, and different people will have different reactions, because "beauty" does not really exist, because it would not exist if we didn't have senses with which to percieve it. some ppl believe nothing really exists, or else we just distort it a lot by what is useful for us to function as humans.

It means different people find different things beautiful. Beauty is not a standard set by one person.

means beauty is what YOU think is beauty, like if you think someone is cute, buit your buddy doesnt, then the beauty is in your eyes...YOU see the person pretty...so the beholder is whomever is looking
