I'm pretty sure the answer is a movie called Jesus, made sometime in the 1970s or thereabouts, and shown by missionaries around the world. Probably never seen a theatrical release in the west (I reckon it's probably quite awful), but nevertheless it's been viewed by more people worldwide than any other film.
By the way (all), "most widely viewed" is not the same as "biggest grossing". A film like the one I mentioned above may well be the most widely viewed without raking in a dime, since it is almost always shown for free.

God father pt one is on the IMDB top 250 and is number one, but i'm sure that it is "It's a Wonderful Life" because for the past 50 years my head master has been playing it and since there are thats close to 500000 and it's on all of the top movie lists, played every christmas on tv, has many edition VHS's and DVD's now new in color so i guess because off all of that i think it's up there
