Do you mean mathematical conjectures? Here's a few famous ones ...
Every even number is the sum of two prime numbers
there are no integer solutions for a, b, c, n, positive integers, n >2, for a^n + b^n = c^n
(2^n) - 1 is a prime number (usually true but not always)
every map on a plane can be colored with at most four colors (recently proven by computer by breaking into numerous cases, but not a "nice" proof and not universally accepted. Is there a better proof out there? Or a counterexample?
But conjectures don't have to be mathematical. There are all sorts of conjectures, for example, about skirt hemlines, climate, wall street prices, winners in the super bowl or the world series, etc.

"It is safe to assume that since so many people believe in God he must exist." Try that one and mention the stupidity of Descartes if you want extra marks.
