I was wondering if anyone could help me solve this mystery..
I was supposed to get my period at the beginning of december. I got all my normal signs, but instead i got heavy brown (almost like my period) discharge. I thought I would get my period maybe a week later...but nothing.

November 22 i had protected sex..but it was very rough and also i have been under EXTREME amounts of stress..

should i be worried Im pregnant?

Your cycle could be late because of stress.

I had a similar experience. I thought I was going to have my period, and I just got a little spot, and nothing more.

I was under some stress - but not bad. I had just brought home my second adopted baby, and two weeks later I had this experience. It turned out that I was pregnant.

I suggest that you act as if you are pregnant and take care with good food, no smoking or alcohol or pills until you find out. And be sure to get the Folic Acid needed for good nerve development of the fetus, if you are pregnant.

Some months my period is so light its only a couple brown smudges on my undewear (sorry for TMI!) Having protected sex once shouldn't cause you to be pregnant. (I wouldn't completely rule it out; i'd take a test just to be safe) but most likely that was your period. Periods and hormones can really change due to stress...that's not just a myth. The month I suffered a loss in my family- my period was extremely light. I wouldn't worry hun. Best of luck.
