take the adult males out of the cage because they more than likely will eat the babies. there is a chance the adult females, including the mother, will eat the babies but it is not as common as the adult males eating them. it's just nature.

YES! Take the adult male out of the cage and put him in a separate cage. Keep the mother in and let her tend to her babies. Here's why ...

It's true that mothers sometimes eat their babies, yes. But you can't stop that. Mothers eat the babies that are sick and will die anyway. That's a normal part of nature, that's fine. The FATHERS, however, will eat the babies whether they're sick or not, so the fathers always need to be taken out of the cage while the mother tends for the babies.

After the babies grow up, sex and separate them! lol, Or you'll have a lot more little baby mice! And you could try putting the mother and father back together after the babies are gone, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Good luck! :)

No, you do not need to separate them! Sometimes mice will eat their own young if they are lacking in diet! Sometimes they just eat them! You should not be breeding them anyway!

My hamster eats its very own babies at times. They devour their babies or a number of them reason it thinks that the toddler is ill or susceptible so it eats it when you consider that its gonna die besides or basically be ill. That y :) Oh and btw ur hamster may well be hungry yet oftentimes thats not the resaon y.
