I have to write a speech to support the idea that Confucianiam, the dominate ideology of classical china, should replace comminism in modern day china. any ideas to help support my stance. so far I have the beneifts of beucracy/exam system, the emphasis on practical learning, and the social mobility in socioty.

Well, Confucianism is more of a life philosophy/religion than a political system.
But the idea is not a bad one. After all, religion and politics are old lovers.
The first part of your speech should be detailing what is wrong with communism in China right now, but dont say anything that is potentially "wrong with" Confucianism, or your opponent could cut your credibility. Then, present Confucianism as a way out of the horrible thing that is communism. Point out how Communism has never lasted as a political system (the American pilgrims, Soviet Russia, etc), but Confucianism is still a very popular school of thought among the people of China.

Confucius say Good luck in your attempts. Does communism really work? It failed in Russia and so it will fail in china , given enough time.
