Obviously I know what an entomologist is. I'm asking what sort of job would I get. Who would employ me? What would I do all day?

Well, there are lots of forestry jobs, in research and biology studies on invasive pests.
Lots of money is dedicated to the study and destruction of agricultural pests as well.

My research is done through my university, we are working on biodiversity assays, usin gmostly Carabidae, Staphylinid beetles and predatory spiders.
Govenment jobs pay very well......

I know a few graduate entomologist who work for museums. Museums still have huge, uncatalogued, unclassified amounts of insects. You would be ruled by post-docs, and you know how evil they can be, but you might look into it.
