When I weighed more, I used to. BTW it depends on you’re personality. I lost weight because I didn’t like the way I looked. If you don’t care however, then it wouldn’t be a big deal. It also depends on how overweight.

How tall are you? Ask your mom if you can have healthy snacks and figure out an activity or sport that you enjoy that keeps you moving - I know 8 & 10 yrs old that weigh that weight but are taller than average too! I stopped growing for the most part at twelve and I am the same height now - boy what I would give to be only 100lbs!

It really just depends on the person. Me yes I am fat yes I have lost weight and yes I do get depressed about my weight but it takes a person who is truly comfortable in there skin to not care to know they are beautiful no matter what they look like me I have really low self esteem I look up to those who can be comfortable in there skin it's a great thing to see someone know they look good ( with out being concede! )

It depends on that particular person. For me its a yes. Its much harder especially when all ur friends are smaller. Plus ur family is always trying to get u to lose weight especially ur mom. Try having holidays & family reunions where everyone compares you to relatives your age and remark on how much bigges/smaller you've become since they last saw you. So yea people do get depressed. But there are times where your just comfortable. People will make all sort of comments and its just how you take them that matters. Some are positive while most are negative. Who says it really counts and thats my motivation to lose weight.

As long as people are not harrassing them or making fun of them or pointing out the fact that they are fat...

I'm 20 pounds overweight right now (from pregnancy - gave birth a month ago) and I am not "depressed" about my weight. I dont know about other people - or people who were born overweight. I am more just saddened by the fact that clothing clings to all the wrong places.

i have fat girls in my family. my mom and aunt, and they have all the confidence in the world. they arent huge, but a little pudgy for their height. they still look cute when they dress...no one is ever sloppy. they alway say they have to set the example for other big girls...and they certainly do. so i can speak for everyone but as for my family, no one is depressed about anything.

love jen.

Yes, and I hate my life at it's current state. I hate it when people say I'm fat.

nope. i hv humps, a bump and a few extra lumps but that has never bothered me, my friends or the guys i have dated. it all depends on how you feel about you and how you carry yourself. and if you are depressed about it...change what you eat and lose weight.
