For some reason the proper use of English isn't as valued as it used to be. This is the case in the UK as well.
All the people marvelling over how great it is that even dumb-a*ses have freedom of speech- Well that's all very well but if they can't articulate themselves in a way that the rest of us understand then what good is that freedom?!
Blotto, on what do you base your comment that the majority of the rest of the world doesn't have the intellectual capacity to ask any questions? That is outrageous. People are no more or less intelligent based on where they were born. And if you're talking about education, well the American education system is not great. In fact the IB program, which is offered to the most intelligent few percent of American high schoolers, is just the standard French system.

To understand why you get the sort of people you describe then you need to go and live in the states and drive round and see the realities of life over there. What you see on the telly and in the cinema isn't the real states. far from it!.
American society can be perocrial, inward looking shallow and dismissive that's mainly due to their school system which really doesn't delve too deeply into the niceties of world politics.
I spent a year just driving and travelling on greyhound buses, north south east and west, its a real eye opener to meet people who have never been out of their town/city/ state / have little comprehension on what goes on in the big wide world and just go about their day to day lives almost oblivious to anything except he for the price of heating oil and gasoline, and where the next meal is coming from.
I was surprised by the all to visible differences between the haves and the have nots, and yet society functions people seem happy with their lot and most are generous outgoing and pleased talk about just about anything.

To you Americans, I apologise for this misinformed Brit. To be honest, I find that the Americans are far more polite on this site than the average Brit. This questioner tends to support underline my point.

They all have the right but maybe not the knowledge,we vote for our government,we give them their job. Then we let go and wait.
We should implement a council aloud to protect the rights and the interest of the people, then no questions are necessary.

It says that even our most ignorant citizens are a cut above most of the rest of the World. First, Americans have the economic solvency to be able to afford a computer, whereas in some parts of the World, whole villages or towns wouldn't know a computer if it fell on their collective heads!
Second, even our "dumbest" citizens have the mental capacity and natural inquisitiveness to at least ask basic questions regarding our government. The majority of the World's population? Well, some don't have the brains to articulate a coherent question, let alone the freedom to ask. The fact is that most would go like lambs to slaughter before they even thought to question their respective governments.
In closing, "it" says that this nation still stands as the best on Earth, where even dolts have rights, and the ability to demand answers. In other words, even a person of such low intellect such as yourself, would be allowed to flourish here.

It says in the USA you are free to voice your opinion no matter who you are. And you even get to ask questions.
So make sure to thank a vet the next time you see one, and when you are saying your prayers tonight thank God you live in the USA!

If it is "The sound of silence"
We do not know what went wrong out there.
When they cry "Where is the love, mama"
They let us know they were "All out of love"
Then we know they are "Lost in love"
So we try to reach out and extend them a helping hand with "He's ain't heavy, He's my brother"
When "You light up my life"
Flashing shock flashes with "Atlantis calling S.O.S. for love.
Since the S.O.S. had been intercepted .
We try to give them hope with "I believe"
We can stop "Hurting each other"
To give them "One more try"
All they need is listen to some songs "I write the songs"
"I like to teach the world to sing"
"Sing"
"Sing the song of Freedom"
"I'll be there"
With "The power of love"
"I'm alive"
So "When will I see you again?"
