Ugly only exists on the inside. For example, a person who judges someone by the way they look, is ugly to me.

only cheesy adults say that, like teachers who are paid to send out false messages to make us feel good. yeah, i believe there is such a thing as ugly because it is a subjective experience, and a person's opinion cannot be denied because it is a fact that they have that opinion. there r people who most people will think they r ugly, but not EVERYONE will think that, almost 4 sure.

I agree. Not only looks can be ugly but actions can also be ugly. Physical beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Ugly actions can result in isolation not only from your family but from friends and society.

I view ugly as I view beauty. As beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so is ugly. (seems like thats the concensus based on the previous answers). It's all relative really. Kindness is beautiful, hate is ugly.I could have written this long psychological explanation, but "simply said" seemed more appropriate.

You know, of course, that is all in the eyes of the beholder. I mean, just look at my mug.
Can you not see there is no ugliness on me at all.??
Seriously, there are ugly people. I don't care how you look at them, they are ugly. I mean only a mother could love.
This question you asked reminded me of something on the Today show. When the guy is showing pictures of hundred year-old men and women, he makes a comment about them what they do to fill their time. Then he says what a beautiful lady she is??? I know what he means, of course, but it's kind of funny to look up at the picture when he says this and bless their hearts they're not beautiful by any stretch of the imagination .

Ugly can take on many forms. I mean to most of us a pig would be ugly but to another pig it may not be. Ugly can be expressed by emotions or by sight.

Like beauty...ugly is in the eye of the beholder. If a beautiful person has a snobbish, self-centered, ignorant personalitiy, and lacks intelligence or sensibility...that person is ugly. Beauty fades but dumb is forever

"Ugly" is an adjective, not a noun, and therefore cannot have an existence in and of itself, but of course it is real.
Some people are going to say the ugly is only in our minds, and some people will say that ugly is in our minds, but therefore it does exist.
