I work from home and sometimes want to interact with people, but it seems that the chatrooms are all about sex or full of pre-teens acting silly. Does anyone know a clean, normal place to go talk about current events, home life, women's topics like family, crafts, cooking...?

Wouldn't that be nice? Sex is great...but to be constantly inundated with it, and with kids talking/asking about it does get old.

Sure, I was in a chat room that only talked about getting old. After a few days with them, you will be ready for sex, romance, or regurgitating.

You could get a bunch of your friends and if not already you and your friends could get AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and talk with each other on your own little chat-room that way
