don't be intimidated to talk to him shy because someone else likes him too. maybe he likes you more, but you'll never know unless you talk to him.

does he know that you like him and the other person also likes him. if he is ignorant than give him some signals of your liking. if he responds put your proposal.ok you didnt say which class. if you are in school it is not love it is only infatuation . dont get mislead. if you are in college you are trying to be over enhtusiastic. if you are above twnty you will have reasoning abilities. if you think it will be practically possible than carry on. or else dont waste time and land in trouble

well, you have two options, go for it, or forget about it, there is not much you can do. It's like playing soccer, go for the goal, or let someone else score, if you score you become a hero to everyone, but someone else scores, they get to be the hero. Now if you have guts, do it, get up, and go for it all. If not, well.....Then there is nothing much you can do. I wish you all the Luck

Try to be friends with him first. Sometimes just a simple hello can start something magical if both people feel the same way.

Just build up your self confidence. Who cares if someone else likes him,just be yourself and ask him on a date.There will always be a brave side of you.

as long as the other person isn't a close friend of yours, then you should try to talk to him, however, you mentioned the shyness,
the best way to talk to someone without feeling embaressed is to use something as a buffer (a school assignment, "accidently" bumping into him, etc.)

well you gotta beat that someone to him would you rather not go out with him at all or have the other girl have him when you talk to him play with your hair or have your palms open so he nos you are open and willing to be with him talk about yourself so it makes you and him more confortable and talk about him two or talk about what happens at school and probly that is about all the edvise i can give you good luck
