Yes, the violence may just calm down or cease if we leave. Our presence over there is no longer wanted. That's the undying truth. Somebody has got to realize it, including Bush, but he's too busy being a complete idiot to even care. If we don't pull out of Iraq, our soldiers are going to keep getting killed, and then we will have to resort to the draft, which many Americans will not appreciate. Bush seems to think that this war is making our lives safer; this war is only making more and more terrorists who hate the USA, therefore putting us at more risk for attacks. The wise thing to do to save us would be to withdraw from Iraq and never invade another country ever again.

i think we cant leave, like someone else said, "it will spill over into the middle east." i agree with that part, and your right, if we hadnt gone in the first place, we wouldnt be losing troops. that is true, but instead of losing troops. we would have lost civilians,and more. This is because the attacks wouldnt stop, and terrorists around the world would attack without fear of them or their country being punished. It would be a self fueling fire, resulting in the loss of millions and millions of civilian lives in the U.S. That wold be much worse than the couple thousand now. I do think thousands of deaths in iraq is harsh, but its the best we can do with the strategy we have. Saying that, I do think there needs to be a change in the strategy. I think we shouldn't have gone in the first place, but if we just leave it will spill over all over the middle east. So, no. But we should dramatically change what we are doing.

Just as soon as we rid them of the Islamic extremists. Force them to Iran, then go after them there, too.
