It really depends on the state you live in but if there is a paper trail of you offering financial support to the kids while you were married, even though your husband was unemployed, some states may rule in your husband's favor. However, on the same circumstance if you have a paper trail of making the mortgage payments on "his" house, you may now be considered a co-owner. Really each state has different laws on this so I would see an attorney ASAP.

I would think there is a divorce lawyer who could see you for a free consult and tell you just that. It depends on the State Laws. It depends on how long you were married. I doubt you could be held responsible for his kids unless you adopted them. The house division would again depend on the state and the length of marraige most likely. Call an attorney

The children from the previous marriage are not your responsibility. The house is his. Consult your lawyer to see if you are required to pay him any spousal support until he gets a job.

They are not your kids I really don't think much will go to him. Plus he has his own house, they will probably ask him to sell if the house was purchase while in the marriage and grant you half of that money~

Divorce is almost typically a negative on your finances no matter how you figure it at least in the short run.

because you will see that the marriage isn't operating, and also you've actually been married for 2 years, only get out of it and keep your self some misery. i'm no longer constructive why you married this guy, yet you obviously made a mistake; so settle for that truth and pass on.
