The prenatal vitamins are designed with the 'nutrients' needed to support a developing fetus. Adding a mulitivitamin may be too much as the prenatal is already a mulitvitamin, and levels of certain vitamins can be toxic to both the mother and child...
Choose your vitamins wisely, sometimes the poor quality vitamins just get peed out of you when they should be absorbed by your body!

Prenatals without the extra multi-vitamin because a prenatal pill is a multivitamin.
FYI -- You can take prenatals even if you're not trying to conceive. They're just good for you to take! :)

You only need to take one. Usually multi-vitamins are cheaper and have alot of the same stuff. Iron is good but can cause constipation. Best thing is that you are taking something rather than nothing but don't take too much.

prenatal vitamin is already a complete multivitamin for a mom and the baby. Do not take extra multivitamins, instead avoid junk foods, and eat more vegetables and drink milk.

Pre-natals are multi-vitamins with a little something extra that's needed for pregnant women.
No need to take another multi-vitamin, you could be hurting yourself or the baby.

well if you were going to the doctor they will give you everything you need. usually 3 pills. prenatal, iron (maybe), and folic acid. those are multi vitamins. they'll recommend that you dont take any other pills. i was taking the womens one a day pill and they told me to stop. so you'll have to talk to your doctor.
love jen.
