Ok I have heard that to do a System Restore you have to do something with your RAM and it would be able to restore your computer without removing programs and files. Is that true, how do you do it? If not are then any tips to system restore. I have no problems with my computer. It runs Win XP Home.

System Restore is simple to use. All it does is restore the settings back to a prior date. You only need to do that if you are unable to resolve a problem any other way. To perform System Restore, click on Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools and System Restore. It will give you available dates that are outlined in bold, and you can only go back one month. This will remove any spyware, virus or other things, but will also remove any downloaded programs, whether you downloaded them from the Internet or from a CD. Use with caution!
