i needed to know this because i want to become a lawyer.. and im doin' a project for my senior class.. along with estimating house cost, estimate property insurance, grocery cost veterinary cost, healthcare, and utilities such as power,water,phone.. etc..

Cost of living has little to do with your profession and more to do with where you live.

It all depends on where you live. For example if you live in the south $300,000 will be a very nice house you could get a 4 or 5 bedroom house for that price. Up north you could get a 1 bedroom for that price. You need to look at demographics of different regions to figure that out.

Your profession has nothing to do with the cost of living. It depends on where you live....what part of the country.
