This is an answer from THE cartoon expert. Okay, here we go. Betty boop is a VERY popular female cartoon character from the 60's. And I mean VERY VERY popular. Popular beyond belief. She had a catch phrase which is also VERY popular: "Boop boop de doop!". She had a cameo appearance in the movie Who framed Roger rabbit where she worked as a waitress. She is one of the most popular cartoon characters of all time. Her character design was influenced by the 60's anime characters such as Astro Boy and Gigantor.
