It looks like they're having fun, there's just old newspaper inside, should I stop them?

They are having fun. If you don't want them to then put the waste paper basket somewhere they can't get to it. If you decide to let them play in it, make sure there's nothing harmful in there.

As everyone else has said, no harm just don't use it for other trash. One thing you could do is get a large cardboard box and fill that for them. They'll have double the fun playing with the paper and renovating the box. I've actually made large 'castles' for my rabbits by taping a number of boxes together and cutting doors, windows and entries to higher levels. They absolutely love them.

If you put trash in there, don't let them play in it. If it's just paper, it's fine. If you don't want them ruining your basket, go to a thrift store or dollar store and get an UNTREATED wicker basket... or you can just use a cardboard box. Fill it with newspaper and voila! Instant bunny toy!
My bunny also likes to dig through a basket filled with blankets or plush toys (but watch them to make sure they aren't chewing on the fabrics!). Phone books also make great chew toys. Some rabbits like to "throw" things (pick it up in their mouth and toss it) and hard plastic baby toys work good for that... again... make sure they aren't chewing on them.

They like to jump in and burrow and frolic in the paper. Make them super happy and get them a box, like a printer paper box and put shredded newspaper in it. You will be able to hear them giggle when they find it.

I used to bring home the shredded paper from my office for my bunny. He loved it, I don't know why. Bunny's also seem to like tunnels and tight places. Maybe it's an instinct to burrowing.

Yes,they could get seriously hurt even though there is newspaper.

no,there having fun probably. you should just leave some paper in it all the time,but find another trash can,so you don't throw away your preshes bunnys!! :-)

Why? There is nothing in there that could hurt them, and as long as it isn't poisonis ink, it is perfecly safe!

no, thats their way of entertaining themselves. as long as there isnt anything bad in there that they could get hurt with, let them.
