quotations help??? i need this?

ok can sum1 tell me how to correctly add punctuation and quotations to this sentence bucez its been a long time and i just wanna be sure

Wait Alice called. I'll come too

There are two ways to write it:
1) "Wait!" Alice called, "I'll come too."
or
2) "Wait," Alice called, "I'll come too."
Depends on whether the first sentence is s'posed to be connected to the first part or if it's s'posed to be an interjection.
