You are the one who's going to deliver! It only matters to you who you have in that room! I think it's nice you want your mom there! And I bet she's excited to see her grandchild being born! Good luck to you and don't worry about what other people think!
Congrats!
Bye!!

The only person who even has the right to have an opinion would be the father.... and if he's cool about not being in there then f**k everybody else! lol. That is definitely a moment when you should be as comfortable and relaxed (especially mentally) as you can be.
Your decision isn't set in stone anyway. When that momentous time comes... if you change your mind and want someone else in there, then that's your right. And if you decide 10 minutes later to kick their butt back out... then that's what you should do! This is YOUR moment. There's no do-overs... you should do exactly what you want. Congrats and good luck!!

Who are the people you are telling this too? Coworkers, friends? They have no right to give you attitude about something as personal and intimate as who you are going to have with you when you give birth. With my first child, it was my husband and I. With my second child all of my immediate family was there. With my third child my husband and mother in law were with me. Who you choose to have by your side is your own business, and you deserve to feel comfortable in the delivery room. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about it-it's your day!

there is NOT anything wrong with who you choose to have in the room at that time with you. My first daughter I had ONLY the babies father and then with my son it was the same! This time will it will be a little different! Although st that time you should have who you feel in there with you.

This is one of those things that you don't need advise about and you have to forget what everyones reaction is this is between you and the father and if hes comfortable with it than just be happy with your decision but I will say I cant believe he doesn't want to see his baby be born

I don't know why that would be wrong at all. However if he changes his mind, as he just may, as it gets closer, and wants to be there too, or instead if there is a limit. You should let him. It is his child too and always will be.
But if he does not want to be there, have your mom!

there is nothing wrong with that, but from my own experience my mum was glad to have another support person. it was a very long labor and it was very hard for mum to watch me go through that.
