Mine is definitely Enter the Dragon with Bruce Lee, that was the best you could watch it over and over.
I remember liking Fist of Fury as well.
Don't like the Jackie Chan stuff much, that's all comedy which is terrible.
And I watched House of Flying Daggers with Takeshi Kaneshiro and Ziyi Zhang and that was good too.
Then there are all those little Japanese films that sometimes used to come on at 4 in the morning. They were good.

I haven't followed many martial arts films lately, I am still stuck in the Bruce Lee era.
Thank you for giving me all these new films to rent! Can't wait till exams are over so I can concentrate on the important things in life!
Having said all this I haven't watched many of the ones mentioned so can't say but I cannot imagine anything being better than enter the dragon. It's not just about the action and stunts, its the plot and content. Enter the Dragon had that great contest between all the good fighters which was great.

Enter The Dragon!? You gotta be kiddin' me! Sure Bruce Lee's a legend, but there's a legend in the making and his name is Tony Jaa! This kid is Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Lee in one! You have to watch Ong-Bak and The Warrior King.
The stunts this boy pulls out are amazing! No wire work, no stunt doubles, no camera tricks! I swear to God! I even have the making to Ong-Bak and The Warrior King and he actually is a stunt wizard! It's unbeleivable and amazing! There's one stunt he does in The Warrior King and it's in the first 35mins of the film where he's in a Warehouse and is attacked by X-Games Tony Hawk's gang! And he runs on the wall, flips backwards and there's another one which was just amazing! And, they were real stunts! by Tony Jaa! I couldn't beleive my eyes when I saw the making to this movie! That movie is like a beat em up game! He's way better than Bruce Lee!
So go on....... Watch these movies, Ong-Bak and The Warrior King! Action all the way and I promise...... You will not be disappointed! When you watch these movies.... You'll be after me to tell you more of his films! Lol! Later! And I do know when his third movie will be released!

Ignore people talking about Chuck Norris and Kill Bill movies - they're not true martial arts flicks.
You need to see Ong Bak or Tom Yung Goon with Tony Jaa. Fearless, Kiss of the Dragon, Fist of Legend (remake of Bruce Lee's fists of fury) and The last hero in China - possibly the whole series.
There are some great classics like 36 chambers of shaolin (dont get on amazon because its not the same movie) Dragons Forever (some humour but still great) and the Prodigal Son with Yuen Biao.
I think the best one in recent times is Fearless with Jet Li.
Oh and dont forget the recent remake of Iron Monkey.

Yep; has to be Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon. Genius! Also rate Jet Li who is incredible in all that he does as well. Jackie Chan can put down some moves when he is ready, my dad adores Cynthia Rothrock (!) and I wouldnt kick Jean Claude Van Damme outta bed! Takeshi Kaneshiro (the hot dude in House of Flying Daggers) is bloody good and bloody hot!

Probably the Kozure Okami series of films. They are known as the "Babycart" series or the "Lone Wolf & Cub" series.
I like them both for the excellent plots and historical accuracy. The main character uses a combination of several different martial arts and swordsmanship to defeat impossible odds.
I also like the Bruce Lee film "Game of Death". It is a well made martial arts film.
Another good martial arts film is "Million Dollar Baby" - it is about a female boxer. It is worth noting that boxing is a martial art. Bruce Lee himself considered it to be a martial art. By the same token the first "Rocky" was a good martial arts film.

My favorits is either who am I with Jackie Chan or My father is hero (that's really the title) with Jet Li. They are both wonderful dramas with great action and interesting plots and strong supporting casts. A martial arts film cannot survive by action alone.
