Hi, I'm Danielle. I'm hear asking this question in conseron. Why are people cutting down the rainforest? What have it done to them. I mean its bueatiful and fantasic! I just some ones answer and QIUCK!! Or at lease how thier evil minds planting such evil things such as destroying the rainforest. Thanx.

fuel, natural resources, its hard to stop... almost like a drug... thats a bad comparison, but if the country depends on timber or tourism, then they must to stabilize the economy, i do wish to that they would stop it too

People don't understand the value of the rainforest in a longterm basis only short term profit.
If we use all the rainforest trees out there how do we keep getting more.
When there is no more we will have to fight each other for the few that is left.
It's called a resource war and we are in it.

Yep -- rainforests (among other places).
As long as there is a demand for the products the rainforests can provide, people will keep cutting them down. It's all about *money*.

Well we have become more conscious about conserving resources. Sometimes you have to cut down old growth in a rainforest in order for new growth to multiply and flourish.
