It is quite possible to have a job at which you are skilled, that you enjoy, and that pays well (although that depends on your definition of "pays well.")

Very good question. I often wonder myself.

I try to do what I enjoy rather than what pays well but I think loads of people just do what they can to get by. They get use to being stuck in a dead end job because its convenient or they are afriad to take the leap. I've just finished from uni so I HOPE i find what I enjoy AND what pays well :)

I work on a checkout therefore I'm good at it and it makes me sad! Though, when I finish uni I hope I'll have a job where I'm happy and not concentrate on the money; is that my 18 year old naivety talking?

Fortunately we have the option of doing both, What pays the money doesn't take up 24/7 time.

I've always done what I enjoy doing. It's fortunate that I enjoy many different things. The only requirement is that it is intellectually challenging. I've never made any money, because as soon as I get bored with a job, I quit and go on to something else.

I do something I'm not good at and it doesn't even pay the money. Still, I'm happy.
