No, calculators haven't eliminated the need to learn skills required to perform mathematical problems because you won't always have a scientific/graphing calculator with you for what you need. A lot of the things that are taught are things that you need to be able to say off the top of your head to understand other things around you. Calculators are there to help you or memorize certain functions that you need to know in your life. People may be calculator dependant, but they still need to be taught it in order to understand things. Who carries around a graphing calculator besides high school/college students if that?
