Well we have been behaving like a banana republic we might as well change leaders like one too, I am just waiting for Bush to present himself to the press in one of those fancy uniforms all feathers and pompoms and medals all over his chest. I think that would complete the picture.
To Ruth I would also note, that in the past the US has not openly admitted it tortures prisoners, illegally kidnaps and transports prisoners around the world, nor has it 're-interpreted' the Geneva Convention, nor has it passed laws that allows the President to decide who gets sent to prison without trial by re-interpreting habeas corpus. Nor has it ever claimed the right to undertake 'pre-emptive' military action. Nor has it claimed the right to spy on the US population without a warrant. I would have thought all these things are un-american too - so why not transfer of power by coup. I personally would hate it, but in recent generations there has never been more justification for 'the people' taking back power that has been stolen from them by an immoral leader by force.

What planet are you living on? The US has not lost this war and it may surprise you to know, we have even landed on the moon and are planning to go back. Now I understand that you WISH we had lost, but a shift in strategy can hardly be called a loss now can it?

Our nation doesn't work like this. I feel that your attitude is much more destructive to the future of our nation than any 2 term president could ever be.

You just want us to lose.
Perhaps you'd like another terrorist attack, too.

Can you vote?
