What should I get my guy friend for Christmas?

He likes "mercedes benz" a lot..and he is into computers and stuff..I am only a teenager so I cant really spend a lot..i dont want my mom thinking I like him like him..so how can I tell her that I want to get him a Christmas present w/o her thinking that? I really want to get him something good..or even make it! What can I do?

go to hobby lobby buy a model kit and make it for him...of the car he likes
